Project Name: DRVL Residence

Location: Dorval, QC

2023-2025

Client: Amélie & Hervé

Scope : Architecture, Interior Design

Under Construction

The project involves renovating and expanding a residence in Dorval, Quebec, situated near Montreal and the St. Lawrence River. The house, originally constructed in the 1970s, has undergone several interior renovations over the years. The current owners, a young family of four, have decided to extend the upper floor and renovate the building envelope to better accommodate their present and future needs.

The main goal of the project is to remove the existing faux mansard shape and create a timeless and restraint design. The small addition will be designed to support the family’s current and future needs, providing additional space and functionality.

In addition to the expansion, the two existing bathrooms will be renovated to provide a more modern and functional space. The renovation will include new fixtures, finishes, and lighting to create a spa-like experience.

The overall design will focus on creating a seamless transition between the old and new parts of the house, using materials and finishes that complement the existing architecture. The goal is to create a cohesive and functional space that is both beautiful and practical.
